That the current availability for that class/train is WL1, but your ticket is CNF (confirmed)?
Really not sure... hopefully one of our train experts will see and respond

My guess:
when you bought the ticket you were WL 1, but there had already been some cancellations, which put you on RAC 5 at that point in time. Now your are still the person who bought WL 1, but there have been even more cancellations, so that your ticket has become CNF: confirmed, meaning you have a berth now. Your berth number will be assigned at chart preparation.

Both Baba and the 'Loud-mouthed, Noisy Bird' are correct, you now have a confirmed ticket.

Posting on these train threads is, for me, like handing my work in at school.
I wait for Teacher Steven, or one of his colleagues, to come and tell me if I got it right! ![]() |

That's better than the "See Me" and "Could Do Better" I used to get at real school.
Somehow, mind you, I refrained from writing, "Yes I know, but can't be bothered" under the latter .I do feel sorry for people who have teach kids like me! |

I had the odd 'Satisfactory' (never managed one in spelling), and I still hate that word.

Dear Manpreet,
##As is the 'common practice' on India Mike, you have NOT indicated: i) The Number of the Train; ii) The Starting Point and Terminating Point of your Journey; iii) The Class in which you have booked the ticket; ======= ##At the time of booking, your status was WL.1/RAC.5, but now, this has improved to WL.1/CNF. ===== ##Three or four hours before the scheduled departure of the train at your Journey Starting Station, please check the PNR Status, you will know the Coach Number & Berth Number. |
