I had the email from them saying that they had sent me the OTP 2 minutes after the email with the OTP arrived.

The inconvenience caused is deeply regretted.

Blog 2013 Indian Railways ARP changed to 60 days on 1st May 2013.

The plot thickens!

So, I chased again and got the mobile OTP. Logged into IRCTC and all fine. Great!

Then, I logged on to cleartrip to book, searched my trains, found them, went to book and a message comes up saying sorry you can't book - register for an IRCTC account. So I click, and it says log in to IRCTC, I log in and then it just freezes. I've tried 4 times!

Has anyone else had this issue? Is there another way of logging in to IRCTC on Cleartrip?

NomadicBoo

Have a look at #271 a bit earlier in the thread. There is a link which seems to help in synching the 2 accounts.

Thanks Dave. Really helpful.

Unfortunately the link stated "Mobile OTP is invalid, please enter correct mobile OTP" so I've sent the IRCTC another email.

I'm getting there slowly!

Ok, it looks like I've managed it.

What train journey can I book as a test? (I.e what's cheap and easily available?).

I want to make sure it actually works!

I use a 2S (Second sitting) ticket from NDLS to GZB. Will cost around Rs 50/- including fees.

Thanks Dave.

It's currently saying "Could not get current availability. Please try again" so I'm guessing IRCTC is currently down....I'll try again later.

Woohoo I'm excited! Hope it's not premature

Did you remember to let your card provider know that you are going to be doing this. It seems that many of them will treat it as a potential fraud unless you let them know in advance

Just checked Delhi to Amritsar and that route was fine so it must just be the Delhi-Ghaziabad route that they can't show.

Is there another short distance train route I can try?

Try train 14681 for 11th July NDLS - GZB. It may have been a problem with trains having shorter ARPs

Probably not the right thread but I don't want to start a new topic for something that can be answered easily;

I'm going to book my tickets today for 2 people Delhi to Amritsar. Am I able to book seats next to each other? Will they automatically allocate seats together? I need to make sure as the wife will be incredibly unhappy if we're not sat together!
