Are you quoting the most recent ticket# when you email? For some reason they do not follow the original one through.
The inconvenience caused is deeply regretted.

Blog 2013 Indian Railways ARP changed to 60 days on 1st May 2013.

Success with Mobile OTP

Hi All,
I came on here after over a week of stress trying to access Cleartrip to book my India trains. Luckily my trains aren't on sale yet, but liked to be prepared.
This is when I got hit with the mobile OTP issue everyone has been having.
I followed the instructions on seat61 (emailing care@irctc.co.in)and after 2 days was emailed an OTP, it didn't work however. Two days later they emailed saying try it on IRCTC instead of Cleartrip)
That also didn't work and 3 days on had no further replies.
So I followed the detailed instructions kindly left on here including screenshots and emailed wsoperations@irctc.co.in. Amazingly I got a reply in less than 10 minutes with a single OTP which worked on both sites!

Thanks everyone.

We don't leave until September but can start booking next week. You saved me a lot of stress!

Paul

Are you aware that the Advance reservation period is now 120 days for most trains so bookings have already got to 24th September.

I also found the customer service team at www.cleartrip.com very helpful. They mapped out the steps (just as you have discovered them) to get an IRCTC account set up from outside India.

I know have my accout activated, and I have been able to book train routes via ClearTrip with VISA.

Departing for India in 2 weeks! Get excited!

I must say I am having no problems at all, after I setup a userid. Can you be more specific about what you have done so far.

I have booked a couple of test tickets and cancelled them a couple of weeks later and everything has happened on My Amex card as expected,

My suggestion would be to setup a a new Gmail account just for IRCTC and start again.

I think that will set up a new account with irctc as to date after sooooooo many emails to them and no further than was beginning of March (lucky Emails are free phone very expensive).
Need advise if I can put in all my personal details as in former account with a new userid also do I create a new Email id?

Why don't you use Skype? Not very expensive at all. Less than 10c AUD per minute! Not sure about Israel, but cant be too much different?

Go with the new email account first and see how that goes.

Hi Dave,
Yes we were aware of that. Our first train from Jodhpur to Agra is on 27th Sept, managed to successfully book it at around 9.30am British time on Cleartrip. Hopefully others will be just as easy as they become available.

Plan is
Jodhpur to Agra
Agra to Varanasi
Mughal Sarai Junction to New Jalpaiguri (for Darjeeling)
New Jalpaiguri to Guwahati

Hi,

I am also in the process of trying to get an irctc account. I only just found out about this problem and my tickets are already on sale (need to book for late August) and am worried that I'm going to miss out!!

I sent an email 4 days ago using the draft email sent further up this thread with pp scans attached etc but have heard NOTHING. Recent again yesterdat, still nothing. Not even an automated reply with a ticket number that others have mentioned....is this normal?

I have also applied for an American Express card in case I can't get synced with cleartrip in time. Fingers crossed that will come quickly too!

Which email address are you sending to? This info recently appeared on a different thread.

I am by no means an expert but i also signed up for an IRCTC account having taking a while to get my head around it, i sent an e-mail to both care@irctc.co.in and also wsoperations@irctc.co.in. I have no confirmation from either but did receive an e-mail with my one time password from the wsoperations address within 3 minutes of sending my enquiry. I don't know if i got them at a good time or not but it may be worth also sending an e-mail to that address.

Thanks very much for the reply! I emailed wsoperations and within a couple of hours had an email back with all the information i needed
The other option is to phone irctc on +9111 393 40000. This worked for me in December but that was before the need to synch Cleartrip accounts. If you google " Cheap phone calls to India" there are various options for low cost calling from the UK.
