Solving "Connection Problems" Error During Booking Process

Hi all,

I'm a new user here, and wondering if anyone kindly help me to register on IRCTC website? Whenever i hit the Sign Up button, it shows "Sorry,Connection Problems Please try again-200." so ...

I'm going to Gaya on this coming 10 December with my group and i want to reserve the seats as soon as possible; 90 days advance

anyone please please please

thank you very much

Mod Note: this post and three that follow were moved out of the this thread - Solving problems with IRCTC/Cleartrip registration - which may explain why some bits don't make much sense.

Most of this thread is about how to register with IRCTC for people from outside India. However we're happy to try to help.

My guess is that you have a browser problem. Are you on Internet Explorer? Do you hav ethe option to try Firefox or Chrome?

PS Welcome to India Mike
The inconvenience caused is deeply regretted.

Blog 2013 Indian Railways ARP changed to 60 days on 1st May 2013.

Sorry if my previous sounded a bit elitist. Absolutely not intended.

If you have tried different browsers we need to look at something else.

The message that you are getting says "Please try again later"
How long have you been trying?

PS Just read your first post again. For most trains the Advance Reservation Period is now 120 days so you need a quick answer.

PPS - How big is the group that you are trying to book?

Indian Railways PRS system is shut for maintenance between 23.30-00.30 IST everyday. I am unaware if IRCTC also has a similar maintenance schedule. So if your post here is immediately after your attempts, then that could be the reason.

Generally do not try to register between 07.30-09.30 IST and during tatkal booking time, 10.00-12.00 IST. The servers will likely be overloaded.
