Angry smb on howrah madras mail and RAC issue

Hi,

i have booked a ticket today (24th july 2009) for 2839 howrah madras mail for the day 29th of this month.

i got RAC 22/ RAC 17 for the sleeper class.

will i get it confirmed to berth as only 4 days are available in between ?

the previous month when i went in the same train, i got SMB. oh god horrible it is.. i couldnt by 5.8 couldnt pack myself in it.

whether they were removed now.. if they are not removed, will i be alloted SMB again .. . i got this doubt as this is the first time i am opting for RAC.

Generally RACs are confirmed.. As you have 4 more days and I believe you are travelling from Howrah to Chennai - chances of confirmation are bright...

On your point of SMBs, I learn from other threads that they have been removed.. So, hopefully you can stretch yourself in any other berth..

SMB may not be alloted...but for physical removal of the SMB needs some time. The rake of HWH-Madras Mail/Coromondal Exp run on rake sharing basis and have factory fitted SMBs. Probably they will not be allotted. Do not unfold them. The side berths are a little uncomfortable for tall people...but what to do if they are allotted.

##As on date SMBs are NOT being allotted.

##In most of the 'coaches' the SMBs have been removed physically.

##Wherever they are 'still' existing, they will be in 'folded' condition.
