That's great news Anita, the fact that smb's are not there, and you had a good trip. By the way, the reason people just drop litter like that is there is usually a person who comes along to sweep and get a few rupees tip, but on short trips it's a bit of a lottery.
Glad you got the train bug, they really are a great way to travel.

Dear Gupta,

Can somebody give me a proof that SMBs were alloted after 01 April09.

##SMBs are still being allotted in 2785 KCG-SBC Express. I myself have seen the Reservation Charts!!!

##However, the SCR have announced that SMBs will be phased out from 1st July,2009 onwards.

##But please note, only SMBs are being removed but the height of SUB is NOT being restored to its original position. I myself have seen this in 3AC Coach of 2737. Same is the case in the SL Coaches where the SMBs have already been removed physically.

On 1 st of June I was coming back to Mumbai from Chadrapur, there on seeing new nos. as altered after introduction of SMB we took seats acordingly but after the TC came he asked everyone to take seats as per old nos. as they had not issued SMB to any one.

Ronak.

Dear palerider,

Hopefully they will Rue the day when these things were introduced, bloody nuisance.

##The reality was/is, SMB-allottee is very much comfortable, but the "actual" nuisance was borne by the SLB & SUB Passengers.

##As I have stated earlier, the nuisance will continue to dog the SUB Passenger, even after the physical removal of SMB.

I would surmise that vsp27759 is a Railways of India employee - and as such a bureaucrat - who does not (and who would?) relish burning!

Dear Mr.obione980,

##I am NOT employed in Indian Railways. Hope this clears your doubt.

Dear palerider,

##Even though I am NOT a bureaucrat & even though I am not responsible for retrofitting of SMBs, I certainly got offended with your comment.

##Hence, I made an open request to Moderators.

Dear palerider,

If you actually thought I seriously advocate burning Human Beings for making wrong decisions, I'm really sorry.

##Honestly speaking, I took the meaning of your comment in this perspective only and hence, I said "I certainly got offended".

>I will kill myself right now.

##No need!!!!

This also is just a comment, not meant in earnest.

#Thanks for the clarification,Sir.

Again I suggest if you have a problem with a post made by someone, ask a moderator in private to look at it, not publicly voice your concern where the poster can read it.

##Thanks for the suggestion,Sir. Now, I have decided, if I feel somebody used a foul language, I will make an open appeal to Moderators so that the original poster also knows what I said.

##I am also interested to know, whether the usage of the adjective "bloody" is permitted in a public forum like India Mike.
