Seats numbers - sleeper class

Hello,

we will be travelling in a group of 9 people and we just received our first bookings.

In sleeper class, we have (in the same coach)
Seat No : Berth :
33 LB
34 MB
35 UB
36 LB
37 MB
38 UB

Seat No : Berth :
41 LB
42 MB
44 LB

I presume seats 33 to 38 are in the same 'bay' and seats 41-42-44 in the next one. Am I right?

Thank you,
Kailash

As far as I can see the three berths are in the next bay/compartment, Steven's online though so I'll leave it to the expert!

Yes, you are spot on. (assuming you are on a Broad Gauge route)

(I missed the programme yesterday, but thanks anyway)

The following is coppied from another thread.....

Quote:
Southern Railway's timetable has some very good diagrams showing where particular seats/berths are on trains, most trains these days are broad gauge.

Seat layout for Broad Gauge trains (1).

Seat layout for Broad Gauge trains (2).

For overnight journeys the seats turn into berths, to see if a particular seat number converts to an upper, middle, lower, side upper or side lower berth, click on the following link.

Berth layout for Broad Gauge trains.

There are still some Metre Gauge trains, particularly in Tamil Nadu and North East India, as well as other areas.

thank you Cyber and Steve.

Train 2626 is on a broad gauge route.

I've edited the 'train information' thread to include a link to the seat/berth layout info.
