Sampark Kranti or Rajdhani Express? girls travelling
Hi,
two of my friends are travelling from bangalore to delhi. Both of them are girls and wanted some advice about their safety during their travel. They can book 3 tier AC on Rajdhani or on Sampark Kranti or a Second class sleeper class in Sampark Kranti. But which one is safe?. The never travelled to North before and dont want to land in trouble with the local people at the same time if its safe enough to take second class they would do that. please advice.
regards,
Srinivas.

Srinivas,
I did travelled quite few times from Chennai to NewDelhi in Tamilnadu express and GT Express and I Would say it's absolutely safe for girls to travel in Sleeper Class .. No Issues.
For Ex, GT express starts back to chennai from New delhi at around 5 pm and lot of unreserved passengers will also get into II Sleeper and even sometimes, 6 people will be sitting in a Berth [Which is meant for 3 people to sit] BUT maximum by 9 pm all will get down and then TTR will make sure they are moving away so that Reservation passengers could sleep !. In Tamilnadu express, I didn't faced such issues as it has very limited stops !
In Short, It might get uncomfortable in day time if the train you book have several stops in between .Safetywise No issues.
Hope this helps

Rajdhnis are more comfortable and certainly almost always on time but as far as the safety is concerned there is no difference between the two. All non AC coaches gets crowded within 2 Hours of Delhi due to daily commuters. Daily commuters can be rude but till the time they are in train, there are almost no cases of reported crime in the coaches.Above all just see the difference in the fair of two categories and you can forget the issue of comfort.
Rajdhanis are quite comfortable and safe to travel and i suggest that one should take rajdhani if possible.
