Safe for two women to travel alone?
Is it safe for two females to travel the Delhi , Agra, Jaipur alone (Golden Triangle Tour)?
I understand the Golden Triange Tours have a car that takes you around and stays at various hotel, touring cities by day. Sound very interesting.....but is it safe ? Are there any 'travel in a group' type tours instead of individual tours. Do you have any advise or experiences to share? Thanks a bunch! |

India has it's problems for women travellers but millions have done it with little more than some minor annoyances like being stared at!
Use common sense as you would anywhere else on the globe and travel shouldn't be a problem! You know try to avoid wandering around in quiet areas late at night, the kind of stuff you unfortunately have to practise anywhere as a women and you should be fine! If a problem does occur making a scene will surely bring some gallent Indian men running to the rescue!! As for tour groups well a quick search via google will throw tons of stuff up or try the ads here on IM there are I'm sure a few people advertising bus tours around the places you want to see!! Yes, it's safe. Use the same common sense that you would travelling in any large city. Opting to wear salwar kameez is a very good idea.
