Rqwl E Ticket Meaning

I have a RQWL 3rd AC e tickt in rajdhaani express from RANCHI to KANPUR for 12th dec -the rqwl no is 1-I want to know what is this RQWL???what are my chances of a confirmed ticket??

I never understand those quotas myself; what you can do is search this site for rqwl or pqwl; it does get addressed on various threads.

For the 12th of Dec. that would seem pretty hopeful yes

btw I think those esoteric sub-quotas are really part of the waitlist system, and so pretty much boil down to the same (hence the "wl"). But the ins & outs of it I've never understood either, no.

##Likewise, normally, the quota for journey between Originating Station and Intermediate Station AND from Intermediate Station to Terminating Station will also be very less, as could be seen from the above data. Once this limited quota gets exhausted, the passengers will be placed in RQWL and they would get confirmed only when there are cancellations from out of the earlier confirmed bookings.
