Hi, I've booked tickets for the Ranikhet Express from Delhi to Kathgodam next month.

I am confused however as to which station the train departs from in Delhi? Can anybody help me please? (Some places mention New Delhi, but I've read that it goes from Old Delhi, or other places just simply say Delhi / DLI). My ticket isn't clear and just says Delhi.

If anyone knows which station I should go to that would be great, so I don't end up missing the train!

Many thanks

If it's the overnight train that leaves around 11pm & gets to Kathgodam early morn it's from Old Delhi. You are in for a pleasant surprise when you get off at KGM.KK

I see from your other thread you are heading to Almora, any particular reason? Do you have friends there? If you haven't found anywhere to stay in Almora try Kailash GH for a interesting experience, make sure you get to see different rooms at different prices they vary enormously. If you are taking a cab from KGM ask them to drop you at the hotel, you come to it before you get to the centre of the town, but bus would be much cheaper & a more exciting experience for your first visit.KK

Hi, yes we're going up to Almora! Thanks very much for the hotel advice, although we will be staying with a friend so no need to book a hotel. Very much looking forward to getting there now!!
