Rajdhani between intermediate stations

Perfect! So maybe someone else has to try the stint with boarding a Rajdhani at a different station....

I was talking about something else.. Let me put it again ..

Lets say I want to travel to Mumbai from New delhi. So the route is like.

New delhi - Mathura - Agra - Gwalior - Jhansi --- and so on lat Mumbai.
Let assume the total capacity of train is 700 People.
so around 600 tickets will be booked from New-delhi rest 100 would be divided among these stations like 10 for Mathura, 20 for Agra etc.

This what i meant by quota..So if you not getting ticket from New delhi you can try from mathura, or Agra .. This system is to ensure that passengers from these cities get reservation else all the seats will be filled at New delhi and they never get a confirmed ticket from thier city.

\It seems there are no seats from quota.

Can any body tell any hidden secrets to get 9 tickets between Kota and Madgaon ???????? Lots of hopes from VSP and Steven.

You can book NZM-ERS on 24th. There are 43 seats in IIAC and 157 seats in IIIAC. Change your BP to KOTA and get off at MAO.

Normally, it would cost you $222 for 6 adults & 3 children. But if you book what I suggested, it would cost you $356. But it would get you what you need.

If you use train 2484, you can book 2 tickets.

1. KOTA-MAO (4 seats in 2AC). --> book all 4
2. UMB-MAO (8 seats in 2AC). --> book the remaining 5.

In the second ticket, change your BP to KOTA. The advantage is that you will get to go in 2AC with significantly reduced cost. If you book 4 adults in ticket 1, you will pay $99. The rest, that is 2 adults and 3 children in 2nd ticket will cost you $106. So the total cost will be $205.


The disadvantage is that you will be split up and you will have to manage to get together by yourself, you will go in a different train with different timings.

If you want to go IAC, you will have to go on 25th by train 2450. There are 10 seats available in IAC from NZM-MAO. It will run you around $497 for all 9.

The only way to get 9 berths on the Rajdhani is to book (and pay for) Delhi to Ernakulam, then change the boarding station to Kota.

But total cost is Rs 38370, you could maybe charter a flight for that price.

It has been really long since I logged into IM.
Well just wanted to say that we went by air (Spicejet) from Jaipur to Madgaon. and it costed approx 24000 for 9 pax (6 Adults, 3 kids).
Steven was partially right. We could manage air tickets for a lesser price if not charter.
