RAC - need some info

Hi,

i got my RAC ticket for sleeper confirmed. but i didnt get any coach-seat number. when will i get this info as my journey date is 29th of this month?

You will get Coach Number and seat on 29th Itself. Almost 3 hrs before scheduled departure time.

You will get it at the station after the reservation charts are prepared. Alternately, you can sms ' IRPNR [Your PNR number]' to 57886 after the charts are prepared and get the seat number. Charts are prepared 6 hours before departure of trains.

Now that you have asked a basic question and gaurav and kaushik have already replied to your question, I would like to inform you that incase your journey is in RAC even at the time of journey, you need to share the berth with some body else.

The Reservation Charts for 2839 would be finalised four hours before the scheduled departure of the train, only after which, you will know the Coach Number and Berth Number.
