How was the ticket booked? If it is e-ticket then the ticket will be cancelled automatically if it is wait list status during charting. That would mean you would be traveling without ticket. If it a counter booked ticket then you may board the general compartment.

There are more chances that both of your tickets would get confirmed in 1 mths time. You can book both to be on the safer side if you want..

Thanks. I got that one. I'm going from Panvel to Madgaon on the 8th of March. By the way I have to find a way to go from Lonavala to Panvel and get there before 21:30 and it seems train is not the best option I have. Any clues??

Loads of buses from lonavala to panvel.. Will take about an hour for the journey.. Start by 7 to 7 30 pm and you should be able to reach comfortably..

Hi - my waitlist tickets got moved to confirmed (YaY!), but obviosuly there no berth is listed yet (I understand this happens the night before).

My question - I have 2 berths, will they definitely be next to each other? Will they be the berths we requested? the 2nd would be nice - Im hoping the 1st is a definite yes!

Thanks

PNR is 2843006853 - if it helps.

The answer to both questions is no. While the reservation system will try to accommodate the both of you together, this depends on the pattern of cancellations and the locations of berths made available by these cancellations to seat/sleep you. There is absolutely no guarantee that you will get the berths of your choice either (i.e. lower/upper/side lower etc)

My online booked ticket was rac1 and after chart is prepared it now sais RC, B1 47. Does this mean i have confirmed seat for whole journey? That RC in front is still little confusing.

You are still RAC. This means that you have been allocated a shared berth. In practice this means a seat rather than a sleeping space. If there are no shows you may be reallocated to a berth of your own.

Angry Karnataka exp 12628 rac16

Hi,

Would you please let me know is it possible that RAC16 will clear? Date of Journey 25 May 2015, PNR is 2303849987.
Would you please suggest shall I need to cancel the ticket or I need to wait.
Because the same status is reflecting from last 3 days.
I am worried about this situation.
Waiting for your positive response.

Thank you.
