RAC 2,Will it get confirmed??

Hi Guys,

This site seems to be very active and from reading the blogs, I think it sure has helped hundreds of people. Kudos to everybody!

I had a question-I think its late to post this, but I just wanted to try. I have a 3-AC ticket for travel from SBC (Bangalore) to CSTM (Mumbai) Udyan Express departing at 8 PM local time 04/26/2008 and the current status (ie as of 2.45 AM 04/26/2008) is ** RAC 2 **. The booking status was around WL 30. Does anybody have any idea about it getting confirmed?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I logged off last night about 1 minute before you posted this, pity, it's an easy one to answer.

RAC 2 will almost certainly be a confirmed ticket by the time the reservation charts are prepared.

There may still be people who cancel tickets, there may also be people who just don't show up for the train, but most important in this case, there may be many quota's not filled, and these berths will then be used for RAC passengers, then for waitlist passengers.

I'm 100% sure your ticket will become confirmed, but in any case, an RAC ticket gets you on the train and gets you a seat at least.

It did get confirmed, but I was concerned because it was for a lady and it would have been uncomfortable if it hadn't got confirmed and we were looking at other options.
