Dear Walker,

Tickets for 2A have moved from RLWL to WL. Does this signfy something.

##To the best of my knowledge, this NEVER happens. A RLWL Ticket either keeps coming down in the same category (or) moves into RAC Status (or) moves into Confirmed Status, as the case may be but it NEVER transitions into "WL".

Foreign Tourist Quota is not avialable at each booking location even if seats are avialable. You would need to check whether there is a counter in Jhansi where you can book Foreign Quota Tourist quota tickets.

I booked 1 ticket in 3AC from Panvel to NZM on 5 July,2009 for Waitlist 4. Its been one and a half month passed and the status is still the same i.e. WL 4.
Date of Journey is 25/09/09 which is quite far.
PNR is 410-8639229.
should I need to think about another booking or is there any chances for confirmation?

Please advice.

You should not be worried but I would have preffered August kranti over Trivandrum Rajdhani.

##Generally, the Quotas earmarked for journey between Intermediate Station and Terminating will be very less in Rajdhanis.

##In the instant case, there are Four Remote Location Quotas - one each at Kankanadi, Madgaon,Panvel and Vadodara. I am NOT sure which RLWL would get preference if there are vacancies in General Quota at the time of Charting.

##I am also a little bit doubtful whether the vacancies in General Quota at the time of Charting would be utilised to
clear those in RLWL (or) would they be kept 'vacant' in 2431.

##I suggest that you may keep one more alternative travel plan instead of totally relying on this RLWL Status, because please look at this:

##It is not 40, but 148 Berths are still available ex.TVC, because the 2431 which departs from TVC on 24th passes through PNVL on 25th.:-)

##You can reserve your berth INITIALLY from TVC to NZM and afterwards opt PNVL as Boarding Point.

##But some stations do not permit this kind of change, when there is a change in the Quota. In any case, there is no harm in trying your luck.

Better take a Flight Go Air tickets are avialable for 2300 for both 25th and 26th Sep choose a convinient time.

I've booked a ticket from cbe to chennai on 30th august in Cheran express and the status is WL 77(current WL status).
Also i've booked ticket from chennai to cbe in kollam express for travel on 31st august..the status is RAC 68..i want to know whether both will get confirmed or not?..

vsp27759 V.SRINIVASA PRASAD Join Date: May 2005 Location: HYDERABAD Posts: 2,725	Dear Kunal, ##It is not 40, but 148 Berths are still available ex.TVC, because the 2431 which departs from TVC on 24th passes through PNVL on 25th.:-) ##You can reserve your berth INITIALLY from TVC to NZM and afterwards opt PNVL as Boarding Point. ##But some stations do not permit this kind of change, when there is a change in the Quota. In any case, there is no harm in trying your luck.
