Sorry for late reply, I was on long leave and returned yesterday, as VSP sir asked to inform about mine seat status in the said train, I got the seats confirmed after the chart preparation, it was from Vijaywada to Dhanbad on 27 June in 3AC. our booking status was Wl 13/15 - Wl 6/8 till the last hours (26 June 8:15 PM) and we decided to cancel the trip but finally when we checked the PNR (9 PM) just before cancelling, to our surprise it was confirmed and we moved. i didnt understand the concept Indian Railways follows but finally we were benefitted. Also the train was excellent, very neat and clean with good service and food too, only the time taken to cover the places is too long. Also we took Machhlipatnam Exp from Hyd to Vijaywada to catch the Dhanbad Exp, its also an awesome train, new coaches, no rush, full comfort, a recommended train for an overnight journey.

am travelling to Mumbai next week and a bit worried about getting a seat. For some reason I don't have a good feeling about this one:

7. WAITING LIST STATUS: W/L5 PQWL at booking, W/L5 now too. Booked it yesterday

As an alternative book the Sleeper Class on the same train which is still avialable or better still book a Ticket from Mangalore to LTT in 3rd AC and specify the boarding station as MRDW in irctc or in the reservation slip you will get a confirmed ticket in this case as well.

Hi, arunganpath I'm traveling AC2... It looks like it will be difficult to get a confirmation. I'm thinking of getting AC3 for the same date. The status is W/L 1

My other reservation is for 29/07. From Varanasi to Delhi.
Here is some info:

To Station - NDLS (that is Delhi, right?)

W/L1 would atleast move into RAC if not getting confirmed. You should immediately book this.

As the train is from Varanasi to New Delhi only, the chances of confirmation are good. Wait for sometime - you may see some improvement in your status.
If you are ok with 3AC, then book it - I saw 27 seats available now. Why to keep guessing on 2AC.

Hmm, that sucks. I can't really think of any other half-convenient way to get to Mumbai... and if I book a different train I'll be stuck here even longer.
How did I get it into that Pooled Quota anyway? Would it make a difference if I canceled that ticket and tried booking one from, say, Gokarna, since that's a bigger station as far as I know?
