hi purchased two first class AC tickets from Kollam Jn to Magadon on the 19th December.

At the moment seem to be waitlisted 1 and waitlisted 2.

do you think i'll be ok getting the train? also travelling with my partner so do you think we'll be seated together?

Hi, we've booked tickets for the toy train from MTP to UAM, train number is 662, date = 31th Dec, class = FC
Current status is WL2/WL3/WL4
What are the confirmation chances?

Just go through this thread started by me on RSWL. Our expert VSP has given the explanation.

RSWL - What it means

Chances of confirmation is very bleak as the quota is are only two seats. Unless and otherwise those two passengers who have confirmed tickets cancel theirs, yours won't get confirmed.

I dont see any confirmed ticket available in any other train too!

The options I could see are :

1. Option 1 - book till Delhi and get down at Madgaon.

3. Option 3 - Book through Tatkal which opens only 2 days before and is bit risky.

Should get confirmed. But to be on the safer side, why not book by 2S also - cost of one 2S ticket is only Rs. 24/-. Totally you would need to spend 2 Euros. You can cancel them once the FC ticket gets confirmed.

i have one more WL ticket to ask you about

its on the 8047 from Hospet to Goa on the 24th dec.
one ticket is confirmed the other is WL1

both are in 2AC class.

this should be ok right? or do i need to be worried?

Yes, already did. But there's another problem: the same person has the only window seat in 2S AND also she is first in waiting list (WL2). So if her and only her FC ticket will get confirmed, she will travel in the FC and other two passengers will have seats in the middle of 2S. Can we do something in this case at least to take her window seat? Is it possible to change names in the ticket or something else?

Mostly the ticket should get confirmed. Otherwise, you can inform the TTE that the window seat will be taken by that person and others will sit in 2S. There should not be any problem.

Hi Kate,

The quota for 2AC from Hospet to Goa is only 2 seats. So, I think yours should be in PQWL.

IRCTC is closed now (2330 hrs IST).

Suggest you have plan B ready.. See my earlier reply to Deepa on PQWL if yours is one.

With 116 seats available, there would be some cancellations too. So, if WL8 doesnt get confirmed, chances that it moves into RAC is there.
