Anyways, try booking your mother in a separate ticket by 19260 Bhavnagar Kochuveli Express (Sleeper Class)
She would get concession of 50% against the basic fare as well as a Confirmed Lower Berth.

We have two Ac3 waiting list tickets (wl4 and wl5) for aravali express train n. 19708 from ahmedabad to mumbai on august 25th. Do you think they will confirm them? Do you suggest other trains? We have to be in mumbai on 26th., possibly travelling by night.

3E consists of an extra Side Middle Berth. Less Fare compared to 3AC. Comfort-wise not preferrable.
