I have 3 wait-listed tickets (CKWL 27,28,29) in SL (tatkal)from Bangalore to new delhi in Karnataka Express for 16th aug 2012.

SOme of my friends told that extra coach is added for tatkal now a days .Is this correct ?
Please let me know if there is a probability for confirmation or should I start looking for alternatives.

@saketkalikar: Still time to go, 4 coaches of 3A and midweek travel, should make it easy. But PQWL is extremely unreliable.
Same train on 05.09 and SL class has availability if you book till Bilaspur.

@inidamikerajesh: Unlikely to confirm. Extra coach is added in only certain circumstances. If one gets added, should get confirmed.

@inidamikerajesh Is this train #12627? If so indiarailinfo lists it as already having 24 coaches. I think that this is the maximum possible number of coaches on one train so additional is not possible.

That's right @Dave. It is 24 coach, so AFAIK no extra coach possible.

I am traveling from Vasai ROad, Thane -Mumbai to Quilon, Kerala on 26th August by 12998 HAPA TEN SUP EX. My mother who is 69 is also traveling with me. Current status is 6/7/8 WL in Sleeper class. Any chance of confirmation. Dont Sr Citizens get priority confirmation?. Also if this doesnt get confirmed, what are my chances of getting tickets on tatkal for 26th Aug.

@sheena_eternity: That is a Twice-a-week train. Not easy. Look at booking tatkal and consider other trains as well. For this train Tatkal opens on 24th, not 25th.
