Me and my family need to travel to haridwar via delhi with my father's ashes. Is there any special provision/quota for this ?

Also, I've booked the following 3 Waitlisted tickets - What are the chances of confirmation ?

1. Train no 12501 - PORV S KRANTI - 17-Jul-2012 - ghy to NDLS - 2A - WL19/WL8 thru WL23/WL12
2. Train no 12501 - PORV S KRANTI - 18-Jul-2012 - ghy to NDLS - 3A - WL36/WL20 thru WL40/WL24
3. Train no 12423 - DBRT RAJDhANI - 17-Jul-2012 - DBRT to NDLS - 2A - WL12/WL7 thru WL16/WL11

Please provide any other suggestions for trains.

We have booked 2 tickets for the Howrah - Kalka Mail (#12311)from Varanasi to Kalka for august the 5th. Currently we're on the waitlist spot 1 and 2 in AC2.

What are chances of getting a confirmed berth on this one?

Is your date critical? There are 4 berths in 2AC for 4th August and 6 on 7th August. There are 3 Sleeper berths in Foreign Tourist Quota each day.

I recently booked a ticket from Ayodhya(AY) to Delhi via Saryu Yamuna Express on 20th July 12(10:50pm departure). I've got a waiting of WL/59,WL/34. My waiting list number hasnt improved since 2 days when i booked those tickets. will i get a confirmed birth?

It's only holiday so the only thing critical is the date for the plane back home which is august 21st

But it would be just nice to get that train to give us sufficient time to explore the himalaya's.

The train you have chosen has only a small quota of 6 berths in 2AC between Varanasi and Kalka. It is anybody's guess whether 2 of the 6 confirmed passengers will cancel before you travel. If you want to be certain I suggest you switch your date while there is still availability.

@nitinitin: My condolences on your Father's death. There is no special quota for people taking the ashes of their dear departed.

The DIbrugarh Rajdhani is more likely to confirm among the 3 tickets.

Hello all,
I have booked the 3 sleeper class tickets having the WL39,WL40,WL41 for 7th july from hyderabad to chennai in chennai express. Now the status is RAC 89,RAC 90,RAC 91. At the time of online booking I had given the preference for "Book only if atleast one lower berth is available". Will my tickets get confirmed?. if not I can try for tatkal tickets tomorrow morning.

@2raghu: If confirmed berths are a requirement and a lower berth is as well, then I suggest you book tatkal tomorrow. Else you will have 2 berths that should be manageable.

BOOK AT THE COUNTER. Online will be too risky and uncertain.
