Sorry, not tatkal I mean "booked in General quota"

By a train "T" I have to go from A to C (distance above 2000 km)but waitlist is 125.. on the particualar day.

But from A to B ( a statin between A and C from A distance around 1200 km) has confirm ticket available.

Now my query is can I reserve my ticket from A to B and in onwards journey from B to C But the train is same?

so that atleast I can get reservation from A to B atleast and B to C is waitlist which also very low i.e. 13 in sleeper class.

1. If booking through counter use separate tickets.
2. If B-C is not available, then you may ask TTE onboard to issue you EFT till C. If berths are not available, you may have to stand for the remaining leg.

I have booked 4tickets in Trivandrum Central rajdhani 3AC for 12th june 2012, to madgaon from new delhi (originating station).
Its already 20 days the tickets have been booked. We were expecting booking a month prior was enough to get them confirmd on the day of journey but still the status showing WL72/52. And ours is 40,41,42,43 waitlisted.
Is there any chance of getting them confirmd by 12 th??
Please give us hint regarding that!
And its e-ticket so would it get automatically cancelled on not gtetting confirmed??
Means we have no chance of taking it to TTE even ??Shall we try for tatkal?
Tickets are on general quota only.

@Smiling, e-tickets are automatically cancelled if they are waitlisted after chart preparation rendering you ticketless.

Tatkal is a good option.

Your tickets might get confirmed but you will only know a day before or on your journey date.

Hi = I can not figure out what is going on with the following PNR. All my other reservations have either CNF or WL next to the passengers names. What is going on with this one?

According to both Indian Railways and indiarailinfo this PNR is showing WL 2,3,4,5

As the quota in 1AC for this trip is showing as 2 you will need an alternative plan.

There are remote chances of getting the tickets converted into RAC.

It may be confirmed if you are lucky... (means a lot of people get their ticket cancelled! )
