On 2nd July 2011 morning i logged on to IRCTC site to book tickets from Bangalore to Bhubaneswar on 30th September 2011 in Guwhati express(No-12509) in 3rd AC.when i checked the status of the tickets it's showed that it has already in to the waiting list.So i changed the boarding point from Bangalore to Chennai.Strange strange when i checked the ticket status it showed that the tickets are available.Then what i have done in the same train i have booked tickets from Bangalore to Chennai and from Chennai to Bhubaneswar.i am happy now as i got the tickets., though i need to change the seats @ Chennai .But i am confused how come the tickets from Bangalore to Bhubaneswar showed as waiting list.
Can some one help me out

However zonal railways have been given the discretions of imposing restrictions on tatkal booking regarding defining trains as end to end or keeping it free or imposing distance restriction etc. Keeping in view the over all utilization of the accmmodations avliable in the train
