I am looking to reserve a ticket for a train from Delhi to Haridwar on the 11th of July, so in less than two weeks. this is the train: Ddn Janshtbdi (12055) , the waitlist number is 30, its for the AC chair car. Do you think it will turn out to be confirmed? thank you )

Why do we want to contemplate when berths/seats in other trains/same train is already available?

when you ask like this, I really dont have a good "because" I guess I was grateful and amazed at the fact that somewhere out there, there are people who are - because of who they are - able and gladly willing to provide me with a piece of knowledge that I seek for and couldn't have until I acquire it for myself by myself. that's cheating, I know. so yes, I shouldn't have, but yes I still would have.. I set so much trust in masterminds, that maybe sometimes I ask too much. (also just didn't expect it to be more effort than a glance or a look)

I ahve booked a ticket from Pune to Chennai in chennai mail (PNR is 8357079264). It is for 02-07-2011 early morning. The status shows WL 2 and 3. When I go to an agent and if he chek it through his id it shows PQWL 2 and PQWL 3. Why is it not showing as PQWL for my login in IRCTC? Why this has gone to PQWL, are they considering Pune as an intermediate station. Unfortuantely the status of my ticket has not been changed at all. I have booked it on June 14th.

I went through couple of internet pages to understand PQWL and chances of it getting confirmed. Looks like chances are NIL.

My questions are -
1) How can we identify while booking whether WL is general or pooled quota or others?
2) Are there any chances of my current ticket getting confirmed?
3) I see that, on same train, 3AC for same route is having WL 1, is GNWL/PQWL? Chances of this getting confirmed if I book?

When an agent login and see it shows as PQWL 2 and PQWL 3. why is it showing WL 2 and 3 in my login.

No hard feelings dude. Just wanted to save you from any speculations or contemplations.
In any case, if you want to go for the CC is JS for 11th, go ahead. It will definitely confirm.

@prrenuka: This train leaves from Mumbai, hence the PQWL. This is more likely to stay in WL. You should know the final status (shows chart prepared when you look at this site: http://www.indianrail.gov.in/pnr_Enq.html

And it also shows PQWL as well.

Please tell is it possible that this ticket will confirm

Owing to 13 Sleeper Coaches, it should confirm.
However, PQWL is always uncertain. You should have had tried alternatives.

I have a train to board on 2nd of July, 12149, Pune-Patna express. Its status is PQWL 10 and 11, any chance of this getting confirmed.

@vnema: TamilNadu Express is a very popular train and almost always full. A High PQWL of 39 does not at all seem confortable to me. Almost certainly will not confirm.

@thegreatjack: What class? From? To? Pl always post full details.
Irrespective PQWL 10&11 does not seem good. Look for alternatives
