I'm booking my tickets by cleartrip.com and I can't see Chair Car on 2965.
Anyway, I changed my plans and decided to catch a morning train from Agra to Bharatpur, then go and visit Fatehpur Sikri by bus, return to Bharatpur and take the 2965 Sleeper Class to Jaipur, so my status is RAC 11.
As I understand, it gives me the right to board the train without any problems and take the seat, right?

Oh, just a wild guess. I haven't been inside a 1AC in ages, so have no idea. Would have loved to get inside one, but unfortunately so many VVIPs need to travel....

This is a learning for me VSP sir.. I was under the impression that in case excess seats are available in EQ, General Waitlist will be cleared..

The quota for JP-JSM is 6 seats in 2AC. You were already in Waitlist 6.. So, your ticket may get confirmed only if 6 those who booked before you cancel their tickets.

Suggest, you book a ticket in Sleeper Class as backup.

For Varanasi to Agra Fort I have now booked 2 confirmed sleeper tickets as a back up.

For Agra Fort to Jaipur I have now booked 2 3AC tickets which are at RAC 5 and 6.

I'll use these tickets if my original choices dont get confirmed.

Sarah, Are you in India? When will you get to India?

The Varanasi-Agra overnight train has a large foreign tourist quota, there are still 6 berths remaining in 2A for the 7th.

But you have to book these tickets in India, they can't be booked online, you have to go to a foreign tourist desk in one of the major cities to book these tickets, but watch out, the touts try to tell you these places have closed or burnt down, ignore them.

I've not got time to look at your other posts, but if you're using the same train to get from Agra to Jaipur, the same will apply, foreign tourist quota tickets may be available.

There are 2 berths available in 2A on the 9th, but they're foreign tourist quota tickets, see my last post (above) for how to get these tickets.

I am still in the UK. I arrive into Delhi on the 1st Nov. The tourist quota is good to bear in mind, I wasn't aware of them.
I'll check the status of my WL tickets when I get to India.

I booked 2AC (currently WL4), 3AC (WL2). I'll probably book SL in the next few days as a backup, but as far as I understand the system, my 3AC waitlisted ticket has a fat chance of turning into a CNF, right?

Hi. I am RLWL/1 for a journey on Dec 11 from YPR to Vasco de Gama. (VSG).

I have booked 2CL AC. Do you think I have a good chance at being confirmed in a birth on this train. Or should I consider other travel options.

(I never realized until I read the article that RAC was higher than WL?!)

The fact that you got RLWL.1 indicates that you are NOT taking the train that starts from Yeshwantpur.

11th December,2009 is Friday and hence, I assume, you must be taking 7311 Chennai-Vasco Express in YPR.

Please confirm.
