Porbander to Udaipur

Hello,

Please could someone tell me the best way to get from Porbander to Udaipur by car/train etc and how long it will take.

We want to reach Udaipur on Thursday 24th Sept.

If its by train I presume it will be via Ahmadabad?

You are right.. there is no direct train from Porbander to Udaipur - you need to go via Ahmedabad..

You can catch 9216 Saurashtra exp from PBR (leaving at 2025 hrs) and reach Ahmedabad at 0600 hrs.. Take Mewar Fast Pass (432) leaving ADI at 0735 reaching UDZ at 1745 hrs..

I cant think of any other option..

The distance is 650 Kms.. Consider a tariff of Rs. 8 per Km..

Remember that you have also pay for the return trip of the driver.

hold on.

train to amdavad is a good idea. the next train is useless - 10 hours for 250km!! even a bike does it in <4 hours.

Just take any luxury bus (you can get many leaving at that time from jodhpur char rasta) to udaipur. You should be there worst case by 1-2pm

Thanks for your replies.

I'm thinking getting a train from Porbander to Ahmedabad.

Then either getting the coach or a taxi to Udaipur.

But will there be a problem with taxis willing to go as far as Udaipur at 7am? I remember in Mumbai many taxi drivers decided where they wanted to go and refused to accept a passenger if it was too far.

Train No 9263 DELHI SR EXPRESS leaves Porbandar PBR at 15.05 to arrive in Jaipur JP at 13.45
There are two direct trains to Udaipur from Jaipur.
