i read many reports about how this train is horribble, holes in the seats, windows broeken, horibble food, etc is this true? is it bearable? (im used to india ive lived here for 13 years)is it much worse then the aug kranti? (ive gone on aug kranti many times- loved it) PLEASE reply |

*I also used the Trivandrum (Kota to Udupi) and Chennai Rajdhani (Vijayawada to Delhi) trains, and they share rakes with the Bangalore Rajdhani, so in theory, I've used the Bangalore Rajdhani 3 times. The Mumbai Rajdhani used those newer German carriages, whilst the Bangalore Rajdhani still uses older Indian carriages, however, the carriages are OK, neither poor or wonderful, the food always seemed OK to me, the same as on the Mumbai Rajdhani. The biggest problem with the Bangalore/Chennai/Trivandrum Rajdhani trains is the corporate vandalism on the outside of the carriages, the massive Airtel advertisement running the entire length of the train, including over the windows, you can still see out of the windows, but it's like looking through a honeycomb. Another problem with ALL Rajdhani trains is that one end of every carriage is more or less blocked off for the entire journey by staff and all their trays, cups, plates etc. it leads to a slightly more crowded feeling, and in a double whammy, it stops many people being able to sit by the open carriage door. The Karnataka Sampark Kranti takes 2.5 hours longer than the Rajdhani to get to Bangalore, yet a 2A ticket costs Rs774 more on the Rajdhani, not worth it in my opinion. Quote:

Plenty of plugs in each 'compartment', at the very least, one for every 8 people in 3A, one for 6 in 2A and more in 1A, I remember seeing plugs for the side berths, but can't be sure what Rajdhani that was in (if not all) and if it was in 2A or 3A.
