New Rules and Websites
In the past I have use this website http://irfca.org/faq/faq-station.html
to find out the station codes to enable me to book on line but the site has totally changed and does not give that info but directs you to this site http://www.indianrail.gov.in/(which I have also used in the past but gives me an error mesg of "server not found"
OK I mucked around some more and found this is now the alternative site
http://www.indianrailways.gov.in/
Now, I guess that the people who maintain these sites decided that we "haoulis" (Hawaiian for foreigners) have figured the old system out. So in light of that they have decided to change the whole system to frustrate and complicate our life even more.
So now if you can figure out the system
you have to download the information to your hardrive before you can find out the correct train.
Well, maybe it's just me but it seems very complicated and if any of you have figured out and can explin it simply to me I would apprecate it. Fortunately I have most of the information I need for the 12-14 trains I will be riding.
