Hi There,

I have noticed just now after booking my E-Ticket..the Electronic Reservation Slip format has been changed by IRCTC.

Now you can see the Passenger Address along with elaborate Fair Details coloumn and with many more General Rules...my god..a,b,c,.....upto h

but now it takes 2 pages (was in habit of printing like that otherwise could have printed Back side)....

Also in the meanwhile missing the Old format...(as eyes are habitual to that)

Regards,
Ankit

Might possible they would stick with the Valid ID Proof...so if you bought the tkt from an Agent...the Name and Age would be mismatched...that could possibly a risk....

And also you can't claim that Agent was valid as in New E-Ticket..the term Personal User has been mentioned.....so Agent thing not valid here.

According to me the only point for verifying the Passenger is Photo ID Proof: In which usually Photo does not match(as pic must have pasted on ID proof would be years old)...so they are left with only the Exact Name and Age...if they find mismatch, The risk is of falling Penalty and the ticket should not be considered as Valid.....

There is nothing to do with the personal Address...that is use only in case of some Mishap to your train.

I believe until and unless there is an Exact match of Name,Gender and Age....there would be no problem at all.

We do buy the E-tickets for our Family and friends.

Guessing would be wasted as what Indian rail Management think of putting this field in E-ticket can not be understand by any other person(as TTE can not validate your address).

My Suggestion is..be easy..Don't worry much...let the person board the Train and show the tkt to TTE......Share with us if anything unexpected occurs with him/her.

Happy Travelling

someone means agents charges extra than the normal fare for tatkal and others .i am telling that..........I think IRCTC is telling that is the risk of the passenger from buying personal user ID tickets from agents as some agents make personal user ID and book tickets. Please reply.

As Quoted before....the ticket would be claimed as Invalid in case of mismatch....and I have never seen or heard TTE charging Agent Charges to the Traveller....absolutely absurd thought....

Stop Worrying Shashank.....Just book E-Ticket for the right person(means with exact information and with valid ID Proof)
