Need help with Trains.
Hello IndiaMike,
My mother and I will be in India in November 2012. We have booked all our hotels and now are trying to figure out train schedules.
We will be Leaving Delhi for Agra on Nov 14 and staying a night in Agra. Will be taking the 0600 train .
On Nov 15 we want to travel to Jaipur by train. i can only find one train that goes to Jaipur and arrives approx 2200. Are there other trains from Agra to Jaipur.
We want to travel on Nov 19th overnight to Mumbai. Will be staying at the Residency Fort. Which Train station should we be getting off at. Anyone know train # we should take for overnight Journey.
We hope to take and overnight train again to Goa on Nov 22nd.

Also, the Marudhar Express (14853) at 6:20 am reaching at 11:20 and the Ibadat Express at 7:25 am arriving at 1 pm.

The nearest station to the Fort Residency is CST but trains from Jaipur do not arrive here. They arrive at either Central or Bandra Terminus. You will need to take a taxi.
ADDITIONAL - Central is much closer to your hotel. If you could do your Jaipur - Mumbai trip on a Tuesday or Thursday there is an excellent Duronto (Train 12240).
You will be able to get a train to Goa from CST.

Before you start poking around "cleartrip", "indiarail" or other sites to book your ticket you should always have a look at www.erail.in. If you type in "Agra Canntt" and "Jaipur" it will show you all trains from Agra to Jaipur, irrespective of which station they depart from.

There used to be this kind of confusion at Montreal too. The train to New York Grand Central (via Albany) departed from Montral Central and the train to New York Penn Station (via Springfield, Mass.) departed from Montreal Victoria.
* It's the same one that departs from Agra Cantt (Khajuraho-Udaipur Express)
