Mum to Delhi or Chandigarh

I need to book tickets from Mumbai to Chandigarh/Kalka on the 11th or 12th of Sept. The only train (Paschim Exp) says "ISL deleted" for 5th to 13th of Sept.

Even the Mumbai Rajdhani says something similar for these days. Other trains too, but I haven't noted each and every one.

Are these trains cancelled for an entire peroid of nine days?

As the travel dates come nearer, I need to book the tickets for fear of running out of time and seat space...

Any answers??

I think, you have to select Train No.2925A for Kalka booking.

I find 131 and 140 SL tickets are available for 11/9 and 12/9 respectively for Bandra-Kalka. Please see link http://www.indianrail.gov.in/cgi_bin...ccavl_cgi1.cgi

I understand that some trains going through Delhi are cancelled/rescheduled/route modified during 5/9 to 15/9 due to some railway works.

A little mystery remains...

Enter train no 2925 and destination NDLS (New Delhi) or MTJ (Mathura)OR ASR (Amritsar) and the result is "train cancelled" for 5th to 13th Sept ...

I wonder ... how will the Kalka bogies reach Kalka if the main train to Delhi-Amritsar is cancelled ??

Any suggestions ??

there is some work going on at the NDLS. no idea about ASR etc.
