Moving Luggage from Bangalore to Bhopal/Gwalior

Hello all, this is my first post at Indiamike. So kindly excuse any faults.

Back to my question, I need to transport 3 carton boxes and one travel bag from Bangalore to Gwalior/Bhopal depending on the number of days that will be taken to move the luggage. I intend on sending it through the Railways as DTDC and Blue Dart are asking for detailed invoices which with so many clothes, is a pain to tabulate. My questions are as follows:
  • Do I need to produce a detailed invoice to send it through the railways as well?
  • Can I choose the Karnataka Express to send the luggage?
  • How many days might it take to reach the aforementioned places?
  • Are the goods safe?
  • How do I go about the booking procedure?
  • Do I have to pack even the carton boxes in Wooden Crates or the like?

I await your response.

An important note to add: Neither I, nor anyone I know will be travelling in the train. The luggage is basically clothes and blankets all amounting to about 50kg in weight.

Are these goods for trade/sale or personal goods to be moved on account of moving home. If they are personal goods, then a simple declaration should be enough for the courier guys. Having you considered parcel by the postal service.

Goods by railways are liable to get pilferred and exposed to the rain/elements.

These are for personal use. Not for trade/commerce. I already arranged for Form 50, which is required when shipping personal goods into Madhya Pradesh. But they require a detailed invoice listing every single item in the bags/boxes and their worth. Apparently for the purpose of compensation. And they considered the Volumetric Weight, which they had measured to be 155kg!
I didn't consider the Postal Service, but on looking now, I notice that there is a limit of 20kg tops. The bag alone is well over 20kg. So Postal Service is not really an option I guess.
Goods by railways are liable to get pilfered?
Man, that's bad.
