Max Number of Tickets and Cancelations?

I booked my tickets from Delhi to Varanasi and back before realizing that there are other trains that would fit into my itinerary better. My questions are:

Cancellations: I paid on my Canadian Credit Card (Visa). Will I be refunded all but the 60-80Rs?

Also - I noticed on the site that it mentions a max of 10 bookings per month. I'm travelling over Rajasthan to Mumbai and Goa and I was planning to train everywhere.

If I cancel earlier tickets - will that count against my 10 tickets? Is there any way around this maximum? I'm travelling by myself so I can't even book under someone elses name .

HELP!

yes the way Around is to create a different user ID ..

If you have done e-tickets then the money will be rolled back into your card..except the cancellation charges, service charges etc...

Thanks, I read somewhere else on here that if you cancel the eticket, it may not get refunded onto your card if it's a different currency - ... maybe it was for an iticket.

Have you done that... made another user ID - ?

I suppose there is no way to track it. But the tickets will all be under the same name - won't that tip off the fact that it's the same person buying multiple tickets?

no...that wont matter...anyone can book in anyones name...you will the ID proof in the train to prove that its your name on the ticket...

India is a country of more than a billion people..and hundreds of thousands of us would have similar names...

And its not a crime to buy multiple tickets...the regulation is in place just to make sure that people do not take commercial advantage of the same..

Dear Shashank,

You have not answered the following query:

"If I cancel earlier tickets - will that count against my 10 tickets?" :-)
