Konkan Railway offers tour package

KARWAR, MARCH 4. Konkan Railway and Poornima Rail Hotel, Kumta, are
offering a new package tour covering the tourist spots of coastal
Karnataka.

The four-day tour begins on Thursdays.

Pristine beaches, virgin forests, water falls, shrines and scenic
places such as Gokarna, Yana, Murdeshwar, Satoddi and Jog Falls,
Kollur, Udupi are the sites included in the tour package.

River rafting and night tent lodging in the forests of Dandeli will
be arranged for groups of tourists.

Tour of coastal Karnataka (4 days)
Organised by Konkan Railways and Poornima Railotel

Day 01 : Departure ex Mumbai by Janshatabdi(5-30hrs)and further
travel by KR-1 train reaching 16-10 at Poornima Railotel, Kumta.
Evening at Bada beach

Day 02 : Excursion to Yana and the unexplored nature and trip to
Murdeshwar temple & the beach. Evening with culture group at railotel

Day 3 : Visit to Jog or Satodi falls in evergreen forest with
backwaters of kodsalli dam and trip to Gokarn temple and the
beautiful Om beach

Day 4 : Visit to Mogambika temple (Kollur) in the serene forest and
Krishna temple and the market of Uduppi. Departure by Matsyagandha
train reaching Mumbai at 6 hrs on day 5.

Poornima Railotel at Kumta is the base camp for entire tour

Tour price : Adult (12 and above years) Rs. 6000 and child (2-
11years) Rs. 4000 Adult tour price is on twin serving basis and child
below 12 will share parent bed. Tour price include train travels from
Mumbai-Kumta and Uduppi- Mumbai by sleeper or higher class and AC bus
travel to different sites, all local transportation, hotel fee and
hotel services charge; meals; admissions; well-trained English Hindi
speaking tour guide. Tour price includes the afternoon tea and snacks
of day one to dinner in the train at day four.
