Which is the most scenic section of the Kangra Valley Railway? We shall be travelling from Pathankot at least as far as Kangra. Is it worth continuing to Baijnath, or even all the way to Joginder Nagar, or will we have seen the best of the views before Kangra?

An update. We travelled from Pathkot to Palampur Himachal and certainly had some wonderful views on that section of the route. The train was extremely crowded and, although we had seats (having arrived early at Pathankot), it was impossible to get on and off at stations to take photos. The seats are normal Indian NG hard benches so the whole trip was a bit of an ordeal, but well worth doing.

Thank you for updating Andrew.

So no option of 1st class like the Shimla train, eh?
Hope they would bring in some facility for reservations.

Indian rail site for more details.
