Hey, I seem to be a bit confused.

You were asking about Kotapur yesterday, one of the closest big towns to Kotapur is Jajpur.

Have you been told Kotapur is close to Jeypore?

If confused, can you find out what district Kotapur is in?

Jeypore is close to Koraput, Koraput is about 24 hours by direct train from Calcutta.

Sorry - I was confused! I actually meant Koraput and we are planning to visit a friend in Jaypore. Plan at the moment is Calcutta- Bhubaneswar-Jaypore.

Train 8447 departs Bhubaneswar daily at 20:00 and gets to Koraput at 10:15 (2A, 3A, SL.)

Train 8005 departs Howrah (Calcutta) daily at 20:55 and gets to Koraput at 20:30 (Via a totally different route)(1A, 2A, 3A, SL.)

Going the other way...

8006 Koraput 07:45 howrah 07:30

8448 Koraput 18:25 Bhubaneswar 08:30

Howrah or Bhubaneshwar to Visakhapatnam, then direct (morning) train through the scenic Araku Valley (using the old First Class carriages) direct to Jeypore.......is an alternative route.

I travelled to Jeypore by the alternative route that Steven suggested:

Is the Hirakhand a slow or fast train?

Hirakhand is not a "Super Fast" (a tag that does not make other trains any faster, in any case).

Yet it is an express train and hence would have a few stops.
