jaisalmer to Puri... by train

I'm in Jaisalmer now (what a great to town!) Anyway I want to get to Puri next and then Kolkatta. What is the best train route. Should I break up the trip and take a day or two somewhere along the way... and where might that be?
Any advice is appreciated.

One way is via Delhi - with or without a halt. A journey without a halt will involve three nights, hence better to take a break at Delhi.

The only train that connects Jodhpur and Ajmer (for Pushkar) now has an air-conditioned Chair class carriage attached to it.

Train 1JA departs Jodhpur daily at 07:00 and gets to Ajmer at 12:50.
(Scheduled to stop at Marwar Jn at 09:40 then depart at 10:00)

Train 2JA departs Ajmer daily at 14:25 and gets to Jodhpur at 19:50.
(Scheduled to stop at Marwar Jn at 16:45 then depart at 17:20)

CC = Rs 279

There are 2 seats (CC) reserved for foreign tourists.

Another option would be to take the Marudhar Exp from Jodhpur to Agra and then take the Utkal Express(daily) or the Hirakhand Exp from Agra to Bhubaneshwar. Puri is 1 hr max from Bhubaneshwar.

Its better if u take Rajdhani Express to come here.They cost less than Rs 2000 AC with foods till Bhubaneswar.From here Puri is just driveeeee for a hour..by bus 20 Rs.By train 20 rs. by car 500rs.
