Jaisalmer to Jodhpur trains?

We plan to travel from Jaisalmer to Jodhpur. There appears to be 3 trains that do this route - 6.45am, 4pm and 11.15pm leaving Jaisalmer.
Our preference is to take 6.45am train but when we attempt to book it online, this train does not exist. The train code is
1JPJ.
Does anyone know if it is possible to book seats on this train?
Alternatively has anyone travelled to Jodhpur from Jaisalmer by bus? Is this a viable alternative?
Thanks for any help.

That is the one train that can't be booked as there are no bookable classes, only unreserved 2nd class.

I used this train and enjoyed the journey.

Arrive 30 minutes before the train departs, buy a 2nd class ticket (silly price, maybe Rs50) and get on the train.

Unless there is some special event or it's prime Indian holiday time, you will find plenty of room in the train, though it gradually gets busier as it gets nearer to Jodhpur.

Try to get a window seat.

Did this by bus. Was just much faster than the train -- and we were travelling in the 48 degree summer, so an early morning bus was far more appealing. It was around 200 rupees for a quick 4-5 hour journey. Most guesthouses can book this. Plenty of buses daily at all times of the day. I took one around 6.30am.
