IRCTC quick booking

Hello,

has anyone succeeded with the new quick booking for e-tickets? When I had typed in everything the system asked for my ID and password again and then wouldn't accept them. After a few tries I gave up and used the normal procedure. Anyone else tried the new feature?

Baba,
I succeeded in getting my e-ticket two days back. Was helping my colleague and tried the quick booking route. There were no hiccups with the process. Try shortening your filling time, hope this works.

Is this the system that only works during Indian business-hours?

Please correct me if I am wrong.

Like the normal booking, yes...5.30 - 23.30 Indian time
...and I took the road less travelled.

One of those bad link days I guess...happens frequently with IRCTC site as it links up to an archaic system for bookings.

I boked using Quick Booking twice. No problems. But I pulled my hair with the normal booking many times.

I tried quick booking, did everything including get charged fir it and then an error message cropped up. No ticket.

I emailed them and three days later the money was refunded! (I think thats their procedure anyway, even if I hadnt mailed them)
