I booked a e-ticket in irctc for my relatives. And there was a form below to fill the children details. I filled in the details of the children they are taking with. They are 4 years old. Once the booking is done, I'm not able to see the children details in the e-ticket. Even though no money is charged for childrens and i entered their names, why would the names not reflect in e-ticket???

The name remains entered into the railway records, but is not reflected in the ticket.

Be tension free & enjoy the trip!

child below 5 yrs are not charged as well as not provided seats/berths also but still in railway records their name would be added .So no need to worry even if you cannot find name of child less than 5 yrs on the ticket .

Nothing happens. The Entry is required for the railways to have a full list of passengers travelling on the train.

How old is your child? If older than 5 years, half ticket is to be charged, and if older than 12, full fare. You can travel with your child, and pay the TTE the fare if the child is older than 5.
