IRCTC Account Lost - How to Recover?

Hello friends,

I need some help regarding recovering my IRCTC Account. I changed my password for my IRCTC Account as well as E-mail ID recently, but since then I can't log in to my account anymore.
I tried the "Forgot Password" option, even though the site shows "Password is reset & further instructions send to your registered E-mail Account", but I received no mails from them, in either of the previous E-mail account or the new one.

Can someone please help regarding this, how to get back the control of my IRCTC Account?

I guess you'll have to contact IRCTC about it.

You probably never will. You can try contacting their support dept, but don't be surprised if they a) don't have a clue and b) don't care.

I think you have to create a new account altogether!! This should be easier than to talk to the IRCTC customer care guys

Red face E-mail Support not received

Thank you everyone for all your response.
I send them E-mail at their customer care ID where I always received prompt responses for transaction related issues, but strangely enough, never received another response back this time, as of now.

I have already created a new account using a different mobile number, since my original number isn't allowed to create a new profile with IRCTC as it is assigned to the previous account.

But, I am worrying about a ticket I have already purchased through that account. Just in case if I need to cancel it for some reason, what should be the procedure?

As you are in India and I am guessing you have the PNR number with you, it would be easiest to go to a computerized reservation centre and get it cancelled

Yes, I have the reservation confirmation E-mail send by IRCTC soon after booking the ticket. I didn't took a print out of the electronic reservation slip yet, since I usually do it just before leaving home.

Should I need to take a print out of that E-mail to the computerized reservation center and fill up the cancellation slip standing at the counter, like we do for normal tickets?
