Hyderabad to Goa

Hi All,

We arrive in Hyderabad on the 30th Nov '10 and we are aiming to get across to Goa by the train. Could anyone recommend the best route for us to take and any idea roughly how long the trip maybe?

Paolo travels has daily AC bus service to goa, fare i think is INR 1200.00 now, there is a train that leaves to goa from kacheguda station but not worth travelling by train to goa, by bus it takes 14 - 16 hrs and by train 20 - 22 hrs,

##I very strongly recommend ONLY train, which consumes 18 Hrs., and ofcourse, Train Journey is certainly recommended for those who want to enjoy the Majestic Braganja Ghats, through which the train wades its way!!!

There are "no" IAC and 3AC Coaches for KCG-VSG Journey. Only 2A and SL are available.

Best route? Via Hampi, with a few days there. (You can get a train to Hospet, slower than road, though)

Unless already visited and don't want to, again, of course.
