Lightbulb How to travel around Rajasthan

I plan to travel around Rajasthan for 2-3 weeks. Travelling from:
Jodpur - Jaisalmer (by train)
Jaisalmer - Bikaner (by bus)
Bikaner - Jodpur (by train)
Jodpur - Udaipur (by bus)
Udaipur - Adjmer (by train)
Adjmer - Jaipur (by train)
I want to stay 3-4 nights in each place. Does anyone know if it is easy enough to pick train/bus tickets for these journey when I am in each place or whether I need to book them in advance before I leave England.

By the way does this sound like a good plan?
Thank you

Hello davina and welcome to indiamike.com

When do you plan to be in Rajasthan? (some train lines are closed at the moment)

Are you including Delhi & Agra?

Are you flying in and out of Delhi?

Is this the only region you will be visiting on this trip?

Hi Davina
Are you travelling on your own or with people? A few years ago 3 of us travelled into Rajasthan from delhi - we hired a cra and a driver. IT was pretty cheap split three ways and had the advantage of not having to wait around and stop as and when we wanted.
