How to reach Goa from Gulbarga
Hello all,
I have to my sick grand mother from Gulbarga to Goa. As she is very old and sick I would like to take her in train or by flight.
Could any one please suggest the details of flight and train?
If there is no option then if I have to take her by road please do suggest the best comfortable route.
Many thanks in advance for any help....

The easiest way would be to go to Hyderabad and get a direct flight.
By train....
To Hyderabad seems like the best choice, but I'd have to say, I doubt I'd choose this option, it's difficult to give train details at the moment, the Hyderabad - Goa train will no longer be able to meet with it's connecting train (to take it to Goa) as the connecting train's times are being changed and there is no mention of a connection from Hyderabad.
Going from Gulbarga to Goa via Guntakal would seem like a good option, but the Goa train will depart Guntakal extremely early in the morning, not a great option for Mum.
So.... Other options.
The Udyan Express gets you to Pune one hour before the overnight Goa express, but this is too tight and I wouldn't recommend it.
Train 6513 departs Gulbarga at 04:55 and gets to Bagalkot at 12:30, though this train only runs on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
From Bagalkot you can get a bus to Hubli, then a train or bus to Goa.
Not a great selection of options, maybe wait till we find the new train from Hyderabad to Goa.
