how to get to SONG? (Pindari Glacier trek)
Does anyone know the best and fastest and least annoying (I've heard the buses are LOUD w/music and videos!) way to get to SONG from Delhi?
Some independent research that I've done myself follows, if anyone can verify this and give me more info that would be great!: -there is a bus (not sure which one or even the time it departs) from DELHI to ALMORA that takes 12 hours... -there is a bus from ALMORA to SONG via BAGESHWAR (not sure which one or even the time it departs) that takes 7 hours... -there is a train from DELHI to KATHGODAM. are there any buses from KATHGODAM to SONG? if so what are the times and costs and duration? I've heard that this trek (Pindari glacier) takes 7 days. If anyone has any additional information about it including additional day hikes from any of the overnight hut towns to make it last maybe 3 days longer, that would be great! I don't want to have to camp, rent a tent/guide/porter either. thanks! |
