To check in peak season do railways add few coaches/boggies?

Particulary I want to ask for AP exp.(12723) has how many coaches?
And If waitlist is very high will railways add coaches(boggies)in this train for sleeper or 3AC?

- they usually run special trains. adding coaches is likely for certain weekends/holidays when WL is too high & coaches are available (but this is not a rule). anyway its not like 20 coaches in may & 18 coaches in june for the same train.

- 24 coaches - see http://indiarailinfo.com/train/71 coach composition section for details

- see #1 - again more likely for sleeper in regular trains, somewhat likely for 3a in rajdhani & fully ac trains.

I don't know how many bogies are there in general, but i have read that they will add new bogies when there is demand, in summer etc.

I don't know if that added information is available in websites or not.

I gues there is a way to know the number of bogies on a train, one of my cousins was telling me that he has most probably seen on indiarail.gov.in somewhere. It will really help to predict your wait-listed tickets, if there is something like it.

The tickets issued are based on the number of coaches in a train. Whether an additional coach is attached or no depends on availability of the coach.
