How do I get from Bundi to Orchha??

What is the best way to travel from Bundi to Orchha? Is there any train? How long would it take to drive?

Are you happy to use Sleeper Class (non air con) in a slow passenger train?

Train 297 departs Kota (about 35 kms from Bundi) daily at 22:10 and gets to Shivpuri (95 Kms from Jhansi) at 08:03 the following morning.

Sleeper class = Rs 100

Shivpuri is a little known tourist destination, check it out, I've seen some great photos of the place.

Shivpuri is connected to Jhansi via a direct road, there should be plenty of buses that will take between 2 & 3 hours.

Going the other way.....

Train 298 departs Shivpuri daily at 21:30 and gets to Kota at 10:45 (for some reason the train waits at Guna station for 2 hours in the middle of the night)

You could also think about going via Bhopal then you could do it all by train!!

Daily Train

There are many train connections to Jhansi depending on day and departure time!!
You could even spend the night in Bhopal before moving on!!

Not a faster method, just one that allows you to use trains instead of buses!!
