Hello all,

I've been trying to book trains for a July/August trip, and am getting the message that the trains I'm interested in are "outside ARP."

I looked on indianrail.gov and irctc to try to find the ARP, but wasn't able to figure it out. Can someone please tell me how to find it?

Thanks in advance,

frances

The ARP for most trains is 90 days, meaning you should be able to book for July. However some trains you cannot book more the 30 days ahead.

Right. Is there a way of finding out if a train has a 60 or 30 day ARP?

I don't know if there is a list of these trains.

But you can use http://erail.in/

Select the train you need, use the calender function to select the travel date and try if there is a seat available.

You cannot book tickets on this site

The ARP is 90 days for most, 30 days for some (predominantly day trains or short distance trains).

There is no list. Just select the train and a date 90 days beyond, if it does show status, you can book. Else see for 30 days.

As already informed the ARP for most trains are 90 days. The ARP for few inter city trains are less than 90 days (as already stated above 30 and 10 days). Giving an examples, Taj Express ARP is 30 days running from New Delhi to Jhansi.
