How busy is ooty toy tain

I have booked 2 first class tickets for the Ooty toy train for Christmas eve with the following train details:
662 MTP UAM PASSR 24-12-2006 MTP UAM

One ticket is confirmed, and one is on the waiting list i.e.
Passenger 1 W/L 3 ,GNWL Confirmed
Passenger 2 W/L 4 ,GNWL W/L 1

What are the chances that people will cancel for this kind of train, because as I understand it, this is more of a "tourist" train than anything else.

Many thanks. Love the forum.

You will be fine, don't worry it will get confirmed.

You'll be dissapointed by the 'First Class' but not by the journey.

I heard someone in Ooty say that, even in First Class only so many seats are padded!

It also depends on whether you get the First class in the front of the train to get the great views.

best seats

The engine pushes the train up, so the best seats (1st class) are in the first compartment. Even if you're in the second compartment, it is still a nice trip. Our kids lioved it.

Happy travels,
