help on trains
I've seen on alot of thread/travel books that you can ask people for a female berth only and you can ask for help getting to the right berth
As i am a young female solo traveller and first time in india, this would be quite beneficial the first couple of times on a train so i was wondering who i would actually asking? sorry if its a completely blatantly obvious answer! |

Previously it has been answered that not all trains have exclusive female berths or coaches..
you should not worry about your safety and book in sleeper class or above..you will find lot of families travelling with you and you will automatically feel safe.. |

I am female and I travel 2AC (alone), which is so safe that some people find it downright boring.
As for finding the right berth, this can indeed be a problem as the position of the various coaches is usually not signposted. The thing to do is to use a porter who will carry your luggage to the correct position on the right platform and also help you board the train.
